I think I got something stuck in my eye when I was reading this story. Yeah, that's it.
At a high school football game in St. Clairsville, OH, star running back and University of Michigan commit, Michael Ferns, broke a few tackles on was on his way to a sure TD when he stepped out at the 1 yard line.
The refs even signaled TD, but the team argued that Ferns had purposefully stepped out at the 1 yard line.
They agreed and on the next play, Ferns was the lead blocker for freshman Logan Thompson who scored the touchdown just 2 days after his father had died of a stroke.
St. Clairsville's coach, Brett McLean, put Logan in the game and told him to 'just follow Ferns'
Looking straight up into the sky after scoring my first vasity touchdown.. i know the old man was watching! love and miss you so much daddy
