Rod Wave is back with a brand new song that's got his fan hype.

On Tuesday, April 16, the Florida rapper dropped off his latest single "Numb" along with the official music video. The song allows him to open up about how he takes his mind off the issues in his personal life. In the video directed by 20K Visuals, Rod Wave links up with his crew, plays cards and posts up outside of Waffle House as he's rapping his mind-numbing verse.

"When I get to feeling low, I get high/It's too hard to swallow pride, I just need someone to listen," he raps.

The song and video comes a couple weeks after Rod Wave had a run-in with police. He was arrested and booked into the Manatee County Jail before he was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Rod Wave's mugshot instantly went viral once it hit social media. He was released from custody a few hours later after the charges were "determined not to be accurate" by the St. Petersburg Police Department.

“He was arrested on a charge that was later determined not to be accurate, so he was released,” St. Petersburg Police Department spokesperson Yolanda Fernandez said in a statement. “This investigation is still open, it’s still ongoing and we are still looking to arrest more people and additional charges could be forthcoming.”
